Happy Day!!
Let’s get back to it!
The Mona Lisa has been neglected too long and she’s starting to get cranky about it, giving me the stink eye and sending me threatening notes.
I can’t handle that sort of pressure so I’m back to wheel her out and show her off to the world.
Of course the beautiful thing about that is I get to show off the marvellous sites that have taken up residence on this very famous painting.
The thing is there are only 956 sections on the image so the number of people and their sites that I can share the love with is strictly limited – but I’ve realised that’s a good thing.
As I blog about this project I’ll mention each and every site on the Mona Lisa at least once, but let’s face it, it’s more likely I’ll mention you several times… here… and on Twitter.
If you buy a piece of the Mona Lisa I’ll definitely be talking about you – but what I’d really like to do is feature you and your site in a dedicated post. If you feel you want to be featured in the same way as Julie and her inspirational writing – or Lance who knows how to motivate people – or Lynn who knows all about being a fashionable mom – or Stephanie and Sharon who can help you with advice about natural horse care – then just reply to the questionnaire I send to you after purchase.
Donating a quarter of a million dollars to good causes
One the very best things about this project is the opportunity to help others and to be part of something worthwhile, so my aim remains to raise $1 million dollars of which $250,000 will be given away to good causes chosen by you the readership.
That’s a remarkable amount of money to give away – but I will need your help to make it happen!
In a change from the previous plan, I now want to donate the money on a monthly basis. This will allow me to involve you in nominating and choosing good causes thus keeping it fresh, interesting and current.
Being part of this project is a great way to promote your site and right now it’s inexpensive. As interest in the project grows demand will grow and the price of inclusion will increase – so get in now while you can.
Tomorrow, I’ll be offering up the first sections for direct purchase and over the coming weeks I’ll be revisiting the sites already on the Mona Lisa.
It’s good to be back!
Dave
