The Mona Lisa Million Project is not open to everyone

I’ve produced this page to demonstrate that I intend to protect the integrity of the Mona Lisa Million Project by linking only to sites operated by genuine people providing genuine output, products or services.

I feel that I owe it to the readership and the other sponsors to have some sort of checks and measures in place to prevent their reputation being tarnished or diminished through association.

I’m not interested in linking to the dubious websites, products or services that litter the web.

I suppose the rule of thumb is: If your site looks dubious, it probably is.

There are certain other sites I want to steer clear of too which are not necessarily dubious but they don’t fit with what I’m trying to achieve here.

It’s nothing personal, and to some extent it’s a subjective judgement, but the decision to include or exclude is mine to take.

None of this is meant to dissuade you from participating if your site or content doesn’t meet the standard of an A List blogger or a Fortune 500 company. If you have any doubts about whether your site is likely be included, take a look at the other sites already on the Mona Lisa, or you could always ask me directly via email.

The paragraphs below are lifted straight from the Terms and Conditions and give specific examples of site that are inelligible for sponsorship.

Excerpt from the Terms and Conditions

9. This is not open to you if your site, service or product is, or appears to be, unlawful, misleading, bogus, false, of dubious value, spam, a trick, a scam, offensive, racist, sexually explicit, salacious, political, incites or intends to incite another person to commit an unlawful act, defamatory, slanderous, libelous material. And specifically sites relating to: “pharm”; tobacco, drugs; prescription drugs; narcotics; diet pills; acai; cialis; viagra; male enhancement/enlargement; multi level marketing; pyramid schemes; get rich quick schemes; “magic bullet” schemes, online gambling or betting, online casinos, online bingo, online poker; sites selling links or traffic; promises of free money; protest websites; political websites; dubious financial solutions; made for adsense sites, sites immediately redirecting to an affiliate link.
10. This is not open to any other site not deemed suitable or not in keeping with the Mona Lisa Million project and detrimental to MisterGoodGuy.com and MonaLisaMillion.com, the readership and other sponsors. I will be the final arbiter in deciding who may be linked from MisterGoodguy.com and MonaLisaMillion.com.
