The Re-Auction – New Feature!

The Re-Auction is a twist on sidebar advertising.

As you might expect it involves displaying an ad to your site in a 125×125 pixel format over in the right hand sidebar.

Instead of directly selling or renting these ad spaces I’m going to auction them off to the highest bidder through eBay.com.

As the winning bidder you get to display your ad in the sidebar for one calendar month.

Here’s the twist… I’m immediately going to re-auction your ad space for the next calendar month, and I’m going to do it aggressively!

It doesn’t end there though

Unless you want it to.

If you just want the image ad, that’s fine, but as I’m a good guy who wants to help others, I’ll throw in a little more so that you get some real and lasting benefit.

Sidebar ads are great but the benefits last only as long as they’re displayed.

If you want the option (and you’re under no obligation to take it) you can submit an anchored text link with the 125×125 image and a promotional text up to 200 words including one anchored text link back to your site.

I’ll be updating the Re-Auction every month and I’ll publish your text in a post on the front page of the site. Read this earlier article if you don’t know why anchored links are important.

This is an opportunity to promote your site, product or service, at the same time ensuring that you permanently benefit from the SEO friendly in-context link.

And because this offer isn’t open to questionable entities the quality ensures my readers benefit too.

As with the Mona Lisa Million this is an exercise in providing a quality service. I don’t link out to spammy sites and shady enterprises and I don’t want them associated with this site.

The Internet is littered with junk and I want to make sure this site adds to the Internet experience and not detract from it.

As with the Mona Lisa Million, I plan to donate a greater proportion of the profits to a good cause. I chose the last cause, so this time I’ll open it up to the readers to nominate and later vote for the good cause to benefit from the donation.

Note: I’ve amended this page and removed the part about setting a reserve and getting additional months free. It was a nice idea but it complicated the already very generous offer!
