Hi, This is Thursday’s update of the Mona Lisa Million.

Some people just don’t want to get noticed, and on the Thursday 8th July 1965, Ronnie Biggs was one such person. Biggs, one of the gang who committed the audacious Great Train Robbery in 1963, scaled a 30 foot wall and escaped from Wandsworth Prison in London. Fortunately for him, no one noticed and he spent years on the run.

Sponsor a section of the Mona Lisa and know that you’re helping to support good causes whilst at the same time getting some excellent promotion for your website or business. Every month at least 50% of the after tax profits will be donated to good causes nominated and chosen by the readers. To sponsor a section of the image visit this page and find out how I’ll help you promote your website.

Unlike Ronnie Biggs, perhaps you do want to get noticed and if you do, I can definitely help you.

If you sponsor a section of my Mona Lisa picture, I’ll shout about you here on Mister Good Guy and also on Twitter.

General Update

Yesterday I moved the Mona Lisa image higher up the page along with a brief explanation of the project which I desperately want to re-write so that it’s gripping, stunning and very compelling – so I’ll keep working on that.

In the comments after yesterday’s post Erica, the lovely writer who tweets under the name @HMX5, remarked, “I love that you are evaluating and reevaluating your process” ~ and now I feel the same way. To begin with I was annoyed with myself that I didn’t get it right from the start, and I haven’t particularly enjoyed having to make frequent changes to get it right.

But I can see that in the end, the pain of going through this process will be worth it, because the idea behind it is a good one. The chance to help people by supporting good causes at the same time as raising the profile of those who join the project is a fabulous opportunity and very exciting.

Mona Lisa Millionaires

As yet there are no new sign-ups – no one new to link to, which is crappy in a way because it means there’s no money to donate… but in another way it’s good because it means I can carry on linking to the existing Mona Lisa Millionaires:

Here’s someone who got noticed big time at Cybermummy, the UK Mummy Blogging conference. Sandy Calico of Baby Baby was a keynote speaker and gave a very emotional reading of one of her blog posts. Luckily for those for of us who were not there it was captured on video. Do pop across and have a look, Sandy was BRILLIANT!!
