This is the latest update of the Mona Lisa Million project and today I bring you details of great British Mum Blogger and information about a very good cause you might like to support.
First, news of the good cause. Tim Brownson, Life Coach and Author published a post today provocatively entitled Does Twitter Give A shit? about Chuck Campbell a 45 year old father of four who in 2005 was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Chuck has played an active part in his children’s lives but now with a lung capacity of 20% he experiences painful and frightening episodes paralysis with even the slightest exertion. The bottom line is Chuck needs a double lung transplant.
Tim Brownson has made a very kind offer – In essence he will provide a copy of his latest book How To Be Rich And Happy to anyone who donates to Chuck’s appeal via the raffle, but you need to see Tim’s post or full details.
If you’ve been reading here for a while you’ll know that I’m not yet in a position to donate to the cause myself but I did offer to publish a 150 word text with an anchored link to anyone who qualifies for Tim’s offer.
So please go and take a look and see if you can help spread the word or donate.
But not before you check out the latest addition to the Mona Lisa Million!!
Claire is a UK mum of two toddlers, who writes an honest account of their increasingly ridiculous shenanigans to prove that you are not the only one whose child hands lumps of their nappy contents to people in public, and they are not the only parent to sing nursery rhymes in the supermarket, even when the children aren’t there.
She also runs the campaign for better maternity care for Mums. And when she isn’t falling asleep standing upright, she reviews products too!
Claire thanks for being part of the project!
Here’s the Mona Lisa with all the links for your perusal:

Hi Philip, what you’re doing over there is fantastic. I’m glad I could help, even if only a little.
Wishing you the very best,
Dave
Thank you so much for helping spread the word about my situation. My family and I are amazaed at the outpouring of support we have received. With all of the bad things going on in this world, it’s great to know that there are so many wonderful people out there who are willing to help others in a time of need. Again, thank you all so very much.

Chuck, it’s my pleasure. I’m a similar age and also have four children so your situation struck a chord with me. Hopefully word will spread far and wide and you’ll raise the money you need. If you need to get updates out on my site here, I’d be very happy to oblige.
All the best,
Dave
Dave, I saw Chuck on the Bonnie Hunt show just this week. A good cause for sure. He explained that even though he has health insurance it does not cover the full coverage of the 1 mil. dollar surgery.

When Tim Brownson posted about this cause I just knew I had to write about it too. I’m 41 with four kids so Chuck’s situation resonated with me. The more coverage the better I think!
About my insurance…up to the point of the transplant, my coverage has been pretty good. They’ve covered my doctor’s visits, most of my meds, pulmunary rehab, all that. But as far as the transplant is concerned, they will pay $40k towards the procurement of the new organs and another $40k towards the actual procedure itself. Then to compounds matters, the transplant centers require that since I (and many others, I’m sure) have to raise the money privately, I am required to raise $1,000,000.00 for an operation that has an average cost of $550,000.00. They have to make sure that any and all possible complications will be covered, as well as future medications.

It’s incredible that you need to raise double the money! As you say though you need to be future proof as well.
Hi Dave,
Very glad to take part, so thanks xx
