Mona Lisa

The end of another great week

It may not appear to be the case but I promise you I’ve worked hard this week and I’m really pleased with what’s been achieved.

There’s more to read below the Mona Lisa so be sure to scroll down AFTER you’ve had a good look over the image (and if you’re viewing this in a reader or via email you’ll need to click through to see the Mona Lisa and all the links).

The Re-Auction Update

This week I rushed to get the sidebar advertising auctions set up. It was a lot of work but I’m glad I finally did it. It feels like a major step to be offering a service in exchange for payment. I’ve never done anything like this before.

So far there have been no bids. None. Not one. But am I crying about it? NO WAY. And if you’re avoiding me because you’re embarrassed on my behalf, don’t. Don’t avoid me and don’t be embarrassed.

Worse things happen at sea, and besides, I find my sense of achievement elsewhere.

Don’t get me wrong. I’d love to see my paypal account busting at the seams but it’s not all about the money.

Putting the advertising package together, writing it up, getting the T&Cs written, getting the auction pages up, are all examples of where I find my sense of achievement. So please don’t be embarrassed on my behalf.

I’ve learnt a tremendous amount from this experience and enjoyed every second.

Besides, the auctions still have plenty of time on the clock and there could be a last minute bidding frenzy? :D

There’s still time

There’s still time for you to bid on one of the sidebar ad space auctions. Bidding starts at $0.99.

If you’d like to see your site in the sidebar for a month or maybe longer, hop over to the sidebar and click on the red text to take you directly to the auction!

If you’re not interested, that’s cool, but please do let someone else know about it.

Twitter

I haven’t been on Twitter much this week because I’ve been concentrating on the Re-Auction stuff, but I am well aware that plenty of nice people have been retweeting my tweets and promoting this site. I will acknowledge your efforts publicly (because that’s the kind of guy I am (a good guy, you might say!)), but for now I just wanted to say thanks. :D

The Best Tweet I’ve Ever Seen

Having mentioned already that I find my sense of achievement elsewhere, here’s a classic example:

Thank you Stephanie. That one was much appreciated. :)

I need your help!
I need your help to get this site under the eyes of more people, and cutting to the chase, it’s a numbers game. Where you see a number… please try to increase it, whether that be the RSS or Email subscriber numbers, or the Digg, Stumble or Twitter numbers you see around the site.

Any help you can give is appreciated.
Thank you

Actually Danny, I’ve just noticed you’re bidding on No.6 not No. 2 as previously stated. Either way, it’s still very cool. :)
