I feel such a sense of relief. The school term has finally come to a close and I’m exhausted.
The last two or three weeks of the school term are an absolute killer. It feels like I’ve been at school more than the kids have and as a result, the time in the mornings and the afternoons I would usually write or read and respond to emails has been obliterated.
It might not have been a problem if I’d been able to stick to my fabulous routine of getting my backside out of bed at 5am everyday. But the sheer fatigue factor of the last few weeks put paid to that.
What I ended up doing was falling back into my old habits and staying up later and later to get things done. That’s a rubbish strategy because the quality of my work diminishes sharply along with my enthusiasm.
I feel that the arrival of the summer holiday will allow me to recharge and reboot.
I need this and I think my project needs it too.
I’m looking forward to cracking on with this and making ot come to life over the next 6 weeks.
There’s lots to do here. Plenty of new people to write about. Some guest posts and featured articles to publish and lots of gratitude to be extended.
