It’s Monday and it’s time to start another week of giving away some free sections on the Mona Lisa.
In short this project provides a service whereby you get to showcase you site/blog/service/product/business by submitting a 150 word text with an anchored link. So as well as the on site exposure, you also take advantage of the SEO benefits.
If you want to know more about the project and how it can benefit you, take a look at Introducing The Mona Lisa Million.
Here’s the deal…
If you meet the Terms and Conditions – specifically in relation to points 17, 18 & 19, shown below as an excerpt – you are eligible for this offer. If you’re unsure whether your site is eligible, you can take a look at the sites already linked from the Mona Lisa (below) or you can email me davefowler[at}mistergoodguy[dot]com. But please do read the T&Cs.
There is a catch though… In addition to the existing T&Cs:
Firstly you agree to supply a text (upto 150 words) relating to you your site/service/product/business/blog which I’ll publish in a post. This can be a biography, an advertisement, or just a sample of the type of writing you do. This is a big part of what the site is about and if you don’t do it, you’re short changing yourself and missing out on some good SEO.
Secondly you agree to link back to this site (either the front page or any other post that takes your fancy) in a blog post on your site. If there is no blog element to your site I’ll settle for a front page blogroll link.
I’m not going to get heavy about either of these things and if you choose not to do them I won’t be bringing in the lawyers I’ll just give you the stink eye for a while and guilt you into doing it.
The fact is, I need exposure for MisterGoodGuy.com
In order to benefit the participants to the fullest extent I need to develop the site’s status as an authority site and increase the footprint in the search engine indexes.
So far my requests for help in promoting the site have fallen (mostly but not entirely) on deaf ears and without the links and the 150 word content I’m fighting an uphill battle.
Please understand that I’m not crying into my cup of English Breakfast tea over it and harbouring deep seated resentment later to be expressed in a series of artworks created solely from badly mangled roadkill and stolen dentures – but I feel I need to be a little more demanding than I have previously been if this project is to fulfil its potential.
This isn’t a personal blog or an idle hobby. I genuinely want to help people get good links to their sites and provide some decent on-site promotion, I want to help good causes by donating money and also I need to justify the time I spend on this project by generating an income.
So there you have it…
You can have a section of the Mona Lisa for free but I want a little in return. That’s not too much to ask, is it?
If you want one of the following sections (highlighted on the image in red) all you have to do is leave a comment below indicating you’d like to participate and we’ll talk about the rest via email.
1st Comment will be allocated R2/137 Vic
2nd Comment will be allocated R2/135 Bryan
3rd Comment will be allocated R2/133 Ciall
4th Comment will be allocated R2/131 Lisa
5th Comment will be allocated R2/129
Please wait for the image to load.
Don’t waste any more time grab your space now!

Hi Bryan,
That’s fantastic. I’ll send you an email shortly.
Just as a matter of interest can I ask how you found this site?
Dave
I would be interested in taking part. Can you email me more details?
May I be allocated R4/1(1) please?

Hi Ciall,
I’ve allocated you R2/133 in line with the offer I made above.
I’ll email you shortly and we can discuss the specifics offline.
Can I just ask you how you found out about the offer? Obviously I’m interested to know how people are finding the site?
Thanks.
Dave
Many thanks.
And certainly. I saw that you were following me on Twitter, so I looked at your Tweets and decided to follow. I had a look around and stumbled upon this

“to be expressed in a series of artworks created solely from badly mangled roadkill and stolen dentures” – why not? Did you watch the news today? Fantasy taxidermy – worth a fortune! Ditch Blogs – Take Up Taxidermy

Sounds like a plan. The roadkill I can “find” but where do you suggest I get my hands on stolen dentures?

Ah! You thought I wouldn’t know anywhere; I do – lost and found at a certain airport near me. Have a friend who works there – items unclaimed after six months may be up for grabs. Lost gnashers included

I did think you wouldn’t know and now I feel like a fool for doubting you.
What I can’t understand is how anyone could lose their falsies at an airport. Seriously, how does that happen?

No idea – probably belonged to same guy who left his false leg behind! Thought he would notice it getting off plane, but obviously didn’t
Hi Dave,
Cool concept! I am a stay at home mom of four myself. I applaud your efforts. I would love to find out if we can help each other out. I am on “watch” right now but will be return to your site and read the fine print.
Thanks for finding me on Twitter! I’m daily amazed at the incredible people I meet there.
Fondly,
Lisa Merrai
